Well May has arrived with a bang and there’s been plenty of outdoor action on our San Sebastian Tours.
We hit the single tracks and trails of Ulia for a brilliant tailor made mountain bike tour with the best Canadian crew. There were some challenges with crazy sea views and all the terrain you could ask for, topped off with our classic Basque picnic in the sunniest of spots.
If pottering round is more your style, we have loved pedalling round the city streets on our San Sebastian city bike tours, stopping at cooking societies with pintxo pitstops. This towns looking pretty special at the moment, the blossoms out and everything’s green. The terraces are starting to get lively as the days get longer and everyone comes out to play. Summer feels just around the corner in the Basque Country.
We provide San Sebastian day tours all year round. If you would like more details please get in touch https://www.experiencesansebastian.com/contact-us/

Well they said they were up for the challenge! So we took the top route along one of the most stunning parts of the famous Camino de Santiago otherwise known as the St James Way. With amazing climbs and fun descents and not a soul in sight this is one tailor-made trip we would love to repeat. We ended the tour crossing over to San Juan by boat then a quick ride to the end for a dip to cool off before BBQ’d as fresh as you can get fish. What a day!

What a weekend, we rode mountain bike along the coastal route of St James Way off the beaten track from the usual hikers. We stand up paddled down the super glassy calm river Oria stopping for swims along the way. We had a great gang who stood up for the first time in the surf. We enjoyed the sunshine and then got drench in the best lightening storm of the Summer so far. If these adventures are up your street please get in touch for all the details [email protected]

Today we headed in land for the “The train track trail”. It was a hot one so the ride through the tunnels gave a much needed shady break from the heat. The river and woods look their very best right now at the height of Spring, full of fish and birds. We passed through farms on our way to Leitza spotting a brand new foal before wandering the old streets of this charming, unchanged local village. We bumped into local world champ Iñaki Perurena who can lift 320 kilos. Our guests had decided to push it and do 50km instead of 25km so we fuelled up on traditional ham bocatas before heading back on the hang on to the seat of your pants down hill route.
